Boy drank gasoline to copy his TV heroes
I guess this is probably a bad time to mention that Transformers use Energon Cubes for nourishment, not gasoline.

This review is an old one from a long time ago but I was playing through DQ8 again(for the first time in a very long time) and was just reminded of how great it was. So I felt it necessary to paste it here again with a few new tidbits of info.

What has started as a simple Lang-8 blog entry to help practice my Japanese has almost turned into a personal challenge: just how many languages can I get this short entry translated into?  Thanks to denzians of #Kyoto I’m off to a good start.

Starwars and Unicorns
Are you a Jedi Knight? Are you a Unicorn? ARE THEY THE SAME?

A webpage that looks like it was made by a 10th grader in 1997 will try to explain to you that they are, indeed, the same.

Now let us summarize the similarities between Jedi Knights and Unicorns.  They are both born with their powers, although they often forget who they are and need reminding and training. They were both considered almost extinct, but they were found and they then lead the fight against evil with help from others.  They both use a glowing rod with mystical powers asas their main weapon.  They both are closely related to and feel a unity with all living things.  They are both guardians of justice.  They both believe in the goodness of others almost to a fault.  They both are only effective in fighting when they fight in defense of others without anger or hate.  you can see that they are very similar.

Well I’m convinced!

Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, later renamed to just Punch Out, and Super Punch out were some of the most memorable games on the NES and SNES respectively. They had quirky characters and were quite challenging, with each fighter having their own strategy to take them down. But how does the newly released Punch Out for the Wii hold up? Let’s take a look.

I noticed that it had been a pretty long time since I last did a translation of a Bleach chapter.  Seeing as how I have the latest chapter in excellent raw quality I thought I’d go ahead and do that one.  It doesn’t have as much dialog as other chapters, but it’s a fun (albeit pointless) chapter.  Enjoy.

I got the “pleasure” of seeing this movie, called Never Back Down. What can I say about this movie to someone who hasn’t seen it? I would probably say “it’s like The Karate Kid without any of the charm and fun.” But let’s look at it in a little more depth.

Are you a crime fighter looking for a way to subdue your opponents without killing them or stunning them?  Well look no further because I have found the solution just for you.

Build a Net Gun

For about $40 to $75 you can build a gun that shoots a net out.  Perfect!  I find this really cool. I wish I was more of a builder and had spare money. I’d build one and try it out.  If you ever get around to building one, post pictures in the comment section.  I’d like to see them.

Morph your face into atrocities!

http://www.faceofthefuture.org.uk/ lets you morph your face into a variety of different cultures, paintings and even manga. To be honest, it’s downright frightening what it can do.

Here’s me in two different manga morphs:

Like painfully slow turn-based strategy games with tons of story like Final Fantasy Tactics? Like Bleach? Then you might enjoy Bleach, the Third Phantom for the Nintendo DS.

Updates

So it has come to my attention that some lame script kiddies decided to deface my website. While this doesn’t say too many positive things about WordPress’ security, it says even less about the idiots who exploit it. I mean, really. What does anyone gain by turning Iyouboushi.com into a “LOLOL I HACKED UR SITE [...]

Work on Kaiou 7.6 Has Begun

I’ve begun work on Kaiou 7.6, finally after quite a bit of time. The first thing I’m working on is adding the (long-needed) Monster Types. Basically monster types will act as templates for your newly created monsters. Let’s say you want to make a Dragon. You could, of course, create your dragon and then set [...]
