I’ve made a few minor changes to the website here. First you might notice that the “writing” section is no longer under the project section. This is pretty much due to the fact that this layout has a minor glitch if your pages go too many steps under one another. Unfortunately the novels section is too many steps and made it pretty much inaccessible.

Second, the reviews is also standing alone now on the main menu bar. Why? Well, why not?

Third, About the Site was updated to show a picture of the previous layout.

And finally, I added a page for my FFXI Blog. Right now it just contains a link to the blog but in the future I am considering adding some content here to this site for it.

Hey everyone! As you can probably tell I’ve gone and changed the website look again. I’m still working on some parts of it, such as the featured content, but hopefully it’ll be done soon.

In the meantime, I went ahead and added a new picture gallery: Pictures of Bri & I. I also added a few pictures to the 2010 gallery. Hooray!

For some reason I have been inspired to take my old FFXI comic “FFXI Misadventures” and get it back up online. Furthermore, I went ahead and made two new strips for it.

I have been working on websites on and off again for about twelve years now.  I figured it was finally time to buckle down and get an actual domain host for my site.  It makes life a little easier (as I don’t have to constantly hop between free hosts) and it gives me a lot more (creative?) control over everything.

Take, for instance, the message board.  I have set up a new phpbb3 board here on this domain and I welcome everyone to join it.  You can find it at http://iyouboushi.com/forum Easy, right?  Yeah.  And I have full control over it completely unlike the last board I was using!   Very cool.

Anyway, hopefully everything has converted over from hostoi correctly.  If not, leave a comment and I’ll get to fixing it.

Just a quick new update here. I finally got around to adding a few (very few) pictures to the 2008 and 2009 albums on the Pictures of Me album page. For anyone who has followed me on Facebook or Myspace, these pictures are not anything new.

I’m still missing pictures from 2006 however. Don’t know where they’ve disappeared to.

Anyway, I also changed the banner at the top of the site. While I like the picture, I don’t know if I like the white gap at the very top between the image and the start of the page. It makes it look like his hand is being chopped off, whereas if I could remove that space it would probably look a little better. But that’s just me personally. What do you think?

I have finally gotten around to adding a new section to the website!  I present my writing section!

One of my favorite things to do is write. I write stories, scripts, poems, journals–you name it, and I’ve probably written it at least once.  I’m now trying to archive everything I’ve written (at least that I can find) here on the site for everyone to see.  This is a work in progress and is unlikely to be finished any time soon.

So go check it out and hopefully you will read something you like.

“Welcome to the 21st century” is what I imagine people will tell me when they see this new site.

Gone are the days of having to edit every single webpage’s source file to add a new category.  Now if I want something new I push a few buttons and it magically happens.  Isn’t technology fantastic?

I’m still in the process of getting all my old news posts (on my old site and from my Blogger blog) copied over here.  But the hardest part is essencially done.  Beyond copying entries all I have left to do is tweak.  Maybe add a new plugin here and there and see what I like.

I know I promise this every time I make a new design, but I swear new content is coming.  Now that I don’t have to edit sources, it should be easier to make an update.  I’ll try to post much of the same as I do on my message board: some odd news, odd videos, just plain odd things I find on the net, as well as occasional updates to the actual content to the site.  With luck it’ll be more frequent than it was before.

So with that, all I have to say is welcome.  Stay a while [and listen].

As you may or may not have noticed my personal website (currently hosted at http://iyou.cyberbotx.com) is down. I’m not sure how long it’s going to be down for. Until the real site comes back up you can check out a mirror at: http://iyouboushi.netfirms.com

Unfortunately the mirror has ads that even Firefox’s adblock can’t remove. But at least the site is up. Most of the files that were being hosted on the site, however, are still down. I went ahead and uploaded a few:

The rest will just have to wait until the real site pops back online or I get unlazy enough to upload them all.

Hopefully this outage won’t be for long.

All right! A new website design! This was long over-due. So what’s new? Well, first off everything is organized into categories now (located along the top). Within each category are (usually) sub-categories that will take you to the various content that is found on the site. The gallery has been broken up by type and the images are hosted on photobucket now; projects contain my movies, programs, animations and translations, etc. The misc section contains nothing right now but will later contain everything that doesn’t fall in on any of the other categories.

There are some more things to come in the near future, including a history of this site (a look back at how the site has progressed throughout the years). So look forward to it!
