<p><strong>WHAT IS THIS?</strong><br />
The number listed above is a voicemail-only box that I have set up for random people to call and leave me messages.</p>
<p><strong>IS THIS SOME KIND OF TRICK?</strong><br />
No! This is NOT some trick. This number is VOICE MAIL ONLY! It doesn&#8217;t call some random person in a random state.  This isn&#8217;t some kind of prank being played on a pledge or some other nonsense like that. What happens is that when you call and leave a message the service sends me an email containing the message. It doesn&#8217;t save your number. I have no idea who leaves the messages (unless you specifically say your name). You&#8217;re anonymous. Say whatever you want!  Make it hilarious, sing a song, or just tell me off.  Whatever!</p>
<p><strong>AM I GOING TO BE CHARGED IF I CALL THIS NUMBER?</strong><br />
The short answer to this is&#8230; maybe. It all depends on your service plans. Most local (U.S.) non-prepaid services have unlimited nights (and possibly weekends). If you call during that time then no, you shouldn&#8217;t get charged. But check your service plan before you call it. I&#8217;m not responsible if you have to pay a few cents to leave a message. International callers will most likely be charged, sadly. I don&#8217;t know if you can use something like Google Voice to call it for free as I&#8217;ve never messed with that service.</p>
<p><strong>WHY AM I DOING THIS?</strong><br />
I&#8217;m interested in what people have to say to a total stranger.  Consider it an experiment.  Okay, truthfully?  I&#8217;m bored and am looking for a new interesting way to brighten up my day.  The last time I set this service up I got some pretty interesting calls.  Everything from a song about cats to a call from New Zealand.  It was pretty awesome.  I&#8217;m hoping to get some good calls like that again.</p>

<p><strong>ADDITIONS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Added &#8220;Monster Types&#8221;. Please read monster_types.txt for more information.</li>
<li>Added a new DM-level command: !view monster types Displays a list of available monster types.</li>
<li>Added a new player-level command: !readtype &lt;monster&gt; Will display the monster&#8217;s type.</li>
<li>Added a new status type: Slow. When under this effect your speed will be halved when the battle list is generated. Evasion will also be lowered when attacked. If you attack while under the slow status, your accuracy will be lower.</li>
<li>Added a new item type: caffeine. This will cure the slow status. Example item is Coffee.</li>
<li>Added the battle condition &#8220;no-slow&#8221; &#8212; Will disallow the slow status from being used.</li>
<li>Added the resist-slow resistance skill.</li>
<li>Added &#8220;Killer&#8221; trait skills. For example dragon-killer, bomb-killer, etc. These skills will cause extra physical damage to be done against that type of monster. Note that it doesn&#8217;t work with techs. To add one: !addskill &lt;person&gt; XX-killer 100 Replace XX with the monster type. Androids and Machines do not have a killer trait.</li>
<li>Added a new tech type: Bash. It works the same as tech type Cut.</li>
<li>Added a new tech type: Death. This tech type has a small possibility of inflicting instant death upon a target. The chance of success increases when the attacker&#8217;s BP is higher than the defender&#8217;s.</li>
<li>Added a new skill: Singing. This skill allows the user to perform a song for a target. Each song will do something different. Songs require instruments (that can be purchased with zenni) to perform. For some more information on this, see the singing.txt help file.</li>
<li>Added a new skill: SoulVoice. This skill allows a singer to sing their next song without the use of an instrument. Use !SoulVoice to activate it. DMs add it as !addskill player SoulVoice 100</li>
<li>Added a new skill: Kikouheni. This skill will allow the user to change the weather. DMs add it as !addskill player Kikouheni 100. Users can use it as: !kikouheni (weather type here)</li>
<li>Added a new skill: TreasureHunter. This is a passive skill that will automatically enhance the odds of finding better capsules by 5%. DMs add it: !addskill player TreasureHunter</li>
<li>Added a new skill: ManaWall. This skill will consume a user&#8217;s remaining MP to create a barrier that will completely negate one magic spell used against him/her, reducing the damage to 0. DMs add it: !addskill player ManaWall 100. Users use it with !ManaWall.</li>
<li>Added a new skill: SubtleBlows. This is a passive skill that will decrease the amount of limit breaker bar points and rage bar points the target receives when hit by an attack. DMs add it like so: !addskill player SubtleBlows 100</li>
<li>Added a new player-level command: !instrument-list</li>
<li>Added a new player-level command: !song info (song name)</li>
<li>Added a new rare accessory: Life-Ring. This accessory will cut the chance of a Death tech from working by half.</li>
<li>Added a new rare accessory: Delimit-Ring. This accessory will allow the wearer to store more than 300 limit breaker bar points.</li>
<li>Added a new job: Bartender. Thanks to Smz for that.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>CHANGES/UPDATES</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Changed !summon so that it now clears the status effects of the monster being summoned.</li>
<li>Changed a few things in monsters.lst (the automatic monster creation templates).</li>
<li>Changed the way the regeneration skill works. Now it no longer causes the player to skip his/her turn when active. The amount regenerated is slightly decreased for monsters also.</li>
<li>Changed damage calculations against a character that is in rage mode. Attacks will do 50% less damage now.</li>
<li>Updated !buy so that players can now buy instruments and songs.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>FIXES</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Fixed an error in which the tech name would be displayed in the battle wound extra damage message.</li>
<li>Fixed a bug with !next in which it wasn&#8217;t using the new battle order generation.</li>
<li>Fixed !status so that it will show the zombie, slow, stun, sleep and virus statuses.</li>
<li>Fixed !status so that the first status will be red, like the rest, rather than green, if it&#8217;s not &#8220;normal&#8221;.</li>
</ul>
<p>This is a pretty huge update to the bot. I&#8217;ll probably be taking quite a bit of time away from Kaiou before I start working on it again (unless there&#8217;s some major bugs that I didn&#8217;t find while testing this version out).</p>

While this doesn&#8217;t say too many positive things about WordPress&#8217; security, it says even less about the idiots who exploit it.   I mean, really.  What does anyone gain by turning Iyouboushi.com into a &#8220;LOLOL I HACKED UR SITE D00D!&#8221; page advertising their group?  Are we really impressed that you took down my personal website that only hosts a few translations and programs I&#8217;ve made?  Have you really accomplished anything aside from making me waste a whopping ten minutes to get it all back up online (and backed up)? People need to get lives that don&#8217;t involve pretending to be oh so l337 just because they can run a few scripts.</p>
<p>In other news, Kaiou 7.6 is just about done.  I don&#8217;t know if you&#8217;ve been following the news over on the forum or not, but this is going to be a pretty decent version of the bot.  I&#8217;ve still got a little bit left to add and then it&#8217;ll be time to test a bunch of stuff to make sure everything is working OK.  Once I&#8217;m satisfied that there aren&#8217;t any major bugs, I&#8217;ll zip it up and get it up for everyone to download and enjoy.  I&#8217;m hoping it&#8217;ll be done by the end of March, but don&#8217;t hold me to it. :)</p>

<p>The first thing I&#8217;m working on is adding the (long-needed) Monster Types. Basically monster types will act as templates for your newly created monsters. Let&#8217;s say you want to make a Dragon. You could, of course, create your dragon and then set everything manually (all the techs, skills, resistances, etc). But if you wanted to save some time you could use a pre-made template for Dragons that comes with some basic Dragon-like techs and skills, plus natural armor and resistances/weaknesses/etc and then add your own stuff to it afterwards.</p>

<p>As you can see, my Black-Dragon monster was set as a Dragon Type and gained two techniques, DragonBreath and DragonRoar, the ability to Fly (Flying Skill) and the DesperateBlows skill. While not mentioned, it also gained 2000 Natural Armor points (as &#8220;Dragon Scales&#8221;). The bot did set some resistances and weaknesses but at this time Dragon Type monsers have none.</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re done setting a type you can use the !checkmonster command to take a look at your monster in more detail.</p>

<p>As mentioned, I&#8217;ve added the auto perform stuff to this version. Since making that preview post, I&#8217;ve actually added a little more to it. The commands recognized are: JOIN, MSG, SAY, RAW and WAIT. Also, if you use MYBOTNAME (in all caps like that) it will replace it with the bot&#8217;s current nick on the server.</p>
<p>Other things added/updated/fixed in this version: The bot can now recognize multiple admins in the config file (just add more &lt;admin&gt; than one like you do with &lt;user&gt;), two new admin level commands (!msg and !raw), the filter was updated a little, and I fixed two bugs relating to RandomTalk.</p>
<p>Overall I&#8217;m pretty proud of this version. Hopefully Kon will continue to improve.</p>

<p><strong>ADDITIONS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Added the ability for techs to get stronger the more they&#8217;re used. For every 300 uses the tech will gain +1 to its attack strength.</li>
<li>Added a new capsule type: R</li>
<li>Added some new accessories. These new accessories do not have stats in the normal sense, but rather have latent effects.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>CHANGES/UPDATES</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Changed the capsule type drop rates. Type C is now the most common with type R being the most rare.</li>
<li>Updated !view-item accessory so that it will reveal the bonus effect of the newer accessories.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This is just a quick update to let everyone know that I have added the auto perform code into Kon.  This post will be a short explanation of how it works so that when the version is released you&#8217;ll know how to do it.</p>
<p>Right now the commands will be read from perform.kon which is a plain text file that can be opened in any plain text editor (notepad works fine for it).   The commands that are recognized for the auto perform are: JOIN, SAY, MSG and WAIT.</p>
<p>JOIN &#8211; Joins a channel<br />
SAY and MSG both work the same way here and lets you have the bot send a message to someone or say something to a channel when the bot joins the server.<br />
WAIT &#8211; This command causes the bot to pause for a few seconds inbetween commands.  Use this if you have a lot of commands set in the auto perform so that the bot doesn&#8217;t flood the server and get booted off.</p>
<p>So what you&#8217;ll do is open kon.perform in your favorite plain text editor and add a command one to a line.  For example:</p>
<p>JOIN #KonBot<br />
MSG NICKSERV identify mypassword<br />
WAIT<br />
SAY #KonBot hello all my peeps!</p>
<p>And then save it.  When the bot is run the next time, it&#8217;ll automatically do all of those commands.  I&#8217;ll include a perform.kon.example file that will basically show exactly that in case you forget.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not sure when I&#8217;ll release this update.  I want to test it a little while longer and make sure there&#8217;s no issues with it before I do.  But I&#8217;m sure it&#8217;ll be soon. :)</p>
