Online Shortwave Radio Tuner
Ever wanted to listen to shortwave radio but didn't want to cough up $100 for a low-end radio? Well guess what! Now you can with the power of the INTERNET!

Yeah, basically you can scroll down to the frequency and the "waterfall" (as they call it on the page) and tune in. I'm still messing with it so I haven't really found anything all that interesting yet..though I have found "The Buzzer" at 4625.00 kHz USB. You can read more about that on wikipedia if you want.

If I find anything interesting I'll come back and post it here.

I read about the Buzzer on wikipedia (and heard the sound clip). Creepy stuff. Reminds me of those Number Stations (aren't those broadcasted on shortwave too?)

They are, yes. Seems like all the creepy things are on shortwave.

11600.00 kHz AM @ 12:18 pm central time. Lots of talking. Someone in the chat said the language is Persian (I asked since I didn't recognize it). The site lets you record some of the audio if you want, so I did for this..

-Edit 1-
This is very addicting. Just surfing through frequencies trying to find something of interest. Here's another one..

11696.00 kHz AM @ 12:32 pm central time.

Again, no idea what the language is.. but it sounds middle eastern.

-Edit 2-
6745.00 kHz AM is playing music.. 0_o (6741.69 kHz AM might actually be cleaner)

Specifically, seems to be playing some kind of Star Trek theme remix.. Attached File  websdr_recording_2014-04-16T18_25_35Z_6745.0kHz.wav   247.54KB   247 downloads

-Edit 3-
11945.00 kHz AM is in Japanese...

-Edit 4-
7169.78 kHz LSB seems to be a conversation.. Attached File  websdr_recording_2014-04-16T19_01_55Z_7169.8kHz.wav   286.54KB   234 downloads
