Speaking of merit weaponskills, I need to start getting Stardiver. I have the category unlocked, just need to put in merits.

Working on getting the older pictures back up. I had to get a new photobucket account just for these, as there's simply too many and creating the thumbnails for them all + uploading them was simply too time consuming and annoying (plus I would have run out of space on that hostei account).

Next time that's going to be in an Abyssea party instead of soloing for like four hours to get two levels. While I don't like skilling up... I do need another job besides Dragoon or Samurai if I'm going to keep being in Dynamis with just two other people. lol

So today I decided to get SAM to 99. I originally wanted to get into an Abyssea party and get 90,000 or more xp/hr but I had no luck at all in getting into one. I turned to campaign but it's very lolol this week. After doing one battle and getting a whopping 6k (and then having no other battles to go to) I realized that it'd be painfully slow to hit 99 that way (considering I had something like 180,000 xp to get).

 

Thankfully I found a good GoV spot. The page I picked started kind of low but goes up to 3k for 5 mobs killed. The mobs were so easy that there was 0 risk of dying, even if more than 3 linked together to attack at the same time. I spent 5 hours there (Scott was with me, leeching ) and hit level 99 and got an additional 56,000 xp beyond that to give me buffer + 5 merit points. Woo!

 

Afterwards I saw that I could spend 500,000 gil to be allowed to leech in Abyssea for 6 hours. So I'm doing that now with RDM since I have 0 desire to grind the xp necessary to get RDM. It'll be bad enough grinding the magic skills. Anyway, I'm hoping that 500,000 gil for 6 hours is enough to get me from 67 RDM to at least 75 (hoping to get to 82 but I somehow doubt it). I'll come post tomorrow and update on how that goes.

It actually went better than expected. lol I didn't get to 82 like I wanted, but I got to 78. I probably would have gotten to 82 (or maybe even 85, if not higher) if it didn't automatically switch me back to merit mode when I dinged 75 (it remembers the setting you set for any 75+ job and I was working on merits on SAM last). By the time I realized that and switched it back to xp mode it was almost time for me to be booted out. But I ended up getting from level 67 to 78 and gained 17 merit points. That's a ridiculous amount of xp I got in six hours. Woo!

 

Best 500,000 gil I ever spent.
