"Whale of a tale" story from KATU in Portland Oregon
Uploaded on Dec 13, 2009
I recorded this on my VCR in the mid 1990's. It's a story about how the Oregon Department of Transportation decided to use dynamite to clear a whale off the beach near Florence Oregon in 1970. Watch and enjoy.
Watch a dead whale get blown up with dynamite!

Real WTF worthy on this one.
Not only is it just.. weird.. but there's some people who believe that this might be the work of a serial killer and the part where it zooms in on the grass is showing where he/she buried one of the bodies.
-Edit-
To elaborate, since I found more information on it, supposedly on the "deep web" there was a page where people could confess stuff. A guy made a post about "Tara the Android" and confessed that he was killing people. The "android" had electrical cords (which you can sort of see at times) that led out into the yard. Somehow the killer rigged it so that when the people he would bury in the back would scream and such it would "power" the "android" to make it move and sing. He dressed Tara up in the victims' clothes and did the android's hair and makeup in the same way as them as well.
Apparently at some point so many people saw it and thought it was real they started contacting the police about it only to be told that "no one would be so stupid to post a confession like that online".
Good old fashioned nightmare fuel.
-Edit 2-
And the truth, if you want to shatter the illusion, this guy actually made it and isn't a serial killer. Was just making art.

I've fallen down a weird rabbit hole and stumbled upon this.
I was watching something about They Live (that silly movie from the 80's) and now I'm finding videos where they literally show that they were basically putting subliminal messages in the national anthem video that they used to show every night as the tv stations signed out (so around the 60's, 70's).
Kind of makes you think. lol
