I have a feeling that heavy metal + auto-tune will sound absolutely horrific. Like, it might be so bad our ears rip themselves free from our skulls to escape it.

Been playing with this auto-tune VST plugin with Audacity but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I've tried it on a Dethklok song and on just talking. After applying the effect it sounds exactly the same and it doesn't seem to matter what settings I play with. And of course you can't do it real-time with these plugins either (would have to record and then edit in post, assuming this ever works).
Really wish you could remember what that guy was using, Geemer.

For three weeks I have come back to this thread. And for three weeks I have tried to write actual music for the ITG album. Perhaps I am being too self critical, but at the same time, I keep feeling like this would be really funny if it were done correctly. I suppose I could writer a couple of riffs here and there, upload it to SoundCloud and post the links here, but I feel like I should get the input of you guys to make it even better. I know what I came up with before was funny because it all sounded like crap, but, spending time with it, and making it sound better would give me much more joy in crapping all over the ITG group.

That sounds fair. You should definitely keep us in the loop with what you do on it.
I would suggest keeping the titles we made up before. Also think at least one of them should be more of a power ballad type song (I'm just not sure which title would make the best one).

I was planning on keeping the track names, Just making actual lyrics and songs for fun's sake.
And no, Dead, nothing Beverly Hillbillies. Gilligan's Isle, Land of the Lost, or Happy Days MAYBE. Ha ha

All right then.
Anxiously waiting to hear some of them and wishing I kept up with playing my guitar and could help. Alas, I haven't touched it in so long that any skill that I might have started to accumulate is now gone.

I have come up with a few great riffs and things. This is turning out really well, I just need the lyrics again...
