Also, even though the Epic Games Store doesn't have much right now, there will be two free games later this month. I don't know if it's a permanent thing or not, but I'll list them anyway. Seems to say a free game every two weeks? Not exactly sure.

Ubisoft is giving away Assassin's Creed Unity because it takes place in France and has the Notre Dame in it.  They're donating a bunch of money to France and giving away the game for free on PC.  It just requires a Uplay account.  Sign in and it's yours.

 

I went ahead and did it.  I have no idea if I'll ever play this, especially on PC (I tend to play my AC games on playstation), but that's interesting that they're doing that.  After the fire started and parts of Notre Dame were destroyed (the spire collapsed) I actually thought that for the foreseeable future the only way to really visit Notre Dame would be via AC:Unity as they supposedly did a 1:1 scale replica of the building in the game.  The artwork is excluded from the inside though due to copyright (which is insane considering most of the art is 800 years old, why is it copyrighted still?) but the actual building is there in its full glory and naturally you can climb all over it lol.

 

Anyway, just thought someone out there might be interested.

It's a shame that Civilization and GTA were on Epic Games store.  I kinda refuse to sign up for that one for a whole bunch of reasons.

Welp, I'm also against the Epic after their practices with exclusives (also, it's unavailable natively on Linux, and seriously, i already have sick amount of launchers already on my PC), but GTA V has broken me, and created account there... well, what to do, they bought me. Can't say, their actions with free games recently are unbelievable.
