Edit: The account has since been restored. Still no information as to why it was removed to begin with though.
Youtube is really starting to get on my last nerves.
As some of you may know, Breezieana and I have a joint channel set up. On this channel we post videos that we do together–usually tag questions or our trips to Dothan and Friday Fest. This morning I woke up and was going to go check on that joint channel and found that Youtube had removed the channel.
Why?
Who knows? Google had this to say: “Thanks for contacting our Google Accounts team. We’ll review your report, and will contact you only if we have additional information to share.” As of now, we haven’t heard anything back from them beyond that.
It’s one thing when someone uploads copyrighted material (as I did with those Kenshin videos on my old channel). I can understand why Google would remove those types of accounts (and as much as I hated it at the time, I’ve come to terms with it). It’s an entirely different matter to remove an account that HAS DONE NOTHING WRONG! None of our joint channel videos have any copyrighted material in them. Heck, half the time it’s just us sitting around talking.
I really hope we can appeal and get that channel back but knowing Google I’m not very hopeful.
At least this time we have all the videos backed up in case we have to start a new joint channel.
